Postdoctoral
Position in Neuroscience/Biophysics
The Center for
Neural Dynamics at the Krasnow Institute for Advanced Study, George
Mason
University seeks a postdoctoral researcher for
theoretical and computational work on an NIH-sponsored project
studying how cellular interactions create macroscopic neuronal activity
including waves and epilepsy, and how electric fields modulate such
interactions. The ideal candidate would have experience programming
compartmental models of interacting neurons and be conversant in
nonlinear dynamics. The ability and willingness to work closely with
experimentalists and experimental data is preferred.
Salary
$37,000 plus benefits; one year renewable.
Applications will be reviewed beginning in May 2007 and will
continue until the position is filled; check <http://complex.gmu.edu/neural/jobs.html>
for status.
Applicants should submit a letter, CV, and
three references
online at <https://jobs.gmu.edu/>
under position number F9007Z.
Questions may be directed to Prof. Ernest Barreto at ebarreto@gmu.edu. George Mason University is an
equal opportunity/affirmative action employer. Women and
minority candidates are particularly encouraged to apply.
