Solar and Heliospheric Modeling
and Forecasting
Abstract
In
this talk I provide an overview of several solar and heliospheric basic
and
applied research activities that I am currently involved in at NASA
Goddard
Space Flight Center. Topics of research include solar photospheric
magnetic
flux transport modeling using advance data assimilation techniques,
coronal and
solar wind modeling and forecasting, and solar cycle variation of total
“open” solar
and heliospheric magnetic fluxes.
